Miserly Elf is a Bonus Room in Rogue Legacy.

The Miserly Elf, also known to players as the Cheapskate Elf, is an elf who will allow players to gamble away a quarter of their current gold with the prospect of tripling their remaining amount. Players must choose from one of the three chests the elf guards, but if you choose the wrong chest, the elf will laugh at you and insult your intelligence.

This room is easily beat if the player has the Nerdy Glasses as it will betray the correct chest. The gold dropped by the correct chest is additionally modified by any gold bonuses the player might have, meaning that players with NewGame+ Equipment, Levels, Runes, and Gold can make obscene amounts of gold in a single minigame.
